I haven’t posted in a long, long, long while, but this image posted on CrunchGear’s blog made me laugh out loud. I loved it so much, I had to post it here for all to see:

And to follow my friend Zack’s lead, here’s a glimpse of what I’ve been up to, since I clearly haven’t been blogging:

mp3 blogs & the Hype Machine
September 26th, 2006
I don’t know where I’ve been, but today is the first day I have been introduced to the world wide web beauty of mp3 blogs. If any of you knew about these magnificent jewels and you didn’t tell me, you’re off my Christmas card list for good. For, without blogs like 3hive and mp3hugger, how would I have heard of artists such as Lulluby Baxter or Tokyo Police Club. And the oasis that brings this aural dream into reality? The Hype Machine. If you haven’t visited this website yet do it. Do it now. Thought you liked Pandora? You’ll forget all about it as soon as the site loads.
I now have my portal to indie music from around the globe. Today is a good day.

Since my former blog will be deleted in a few days, I have imported all of my past posts from that blog. This blog is now pastually complete.

for just a while. I am changing ISPs for both this blog and our family blog as well as another site–from Globat.com to 1and1.com–and there may be some down time while the DNS migrates.
Why am I moving? Because I have slowly come to despise Globat.com. They offer “competitive upgrades” that you have to opt-out of in order to avoid being charged their “nominal” $29.95 fee. And considering that prior to my infatuation with 1and1, I had all my sites hosted with Globat, I am in for a fun time as I migrate every site to my new hosting solution as each one comes up for its yearly hosting renewal.
Anyway, once complete, this blog will be located at www.findingmonsuun.com. Monsuun.org (formerly the domain name forwarded to this blog) will point to Monsuun Ministries. Until later.
Update:
Looks like the transition went pretty smoothly, despite a slight glitch with the Tags which should be resolved shortly. This blog will now occupies its new home of www.findingmonsuun.com and the feed remains the same: http://feeds.feedburner.com/findingMonsuun. Pick up the feed if you haven’t already.

via TallSkinnyKiwi
The rules of blogging have changed for our brave new web and Eric Kintz has some good advice.
Why blog frequency does not matter anymore#1 Traffic is generated by participating in the community; not daily posting
#2 Traffic is irrelevant to your blog’s success anyway
#3 Loyal readers coming back daily to check your posts is so Web 1.0
#4 Frequent posting is actually starting to have a negative impact on loyalty
#5 Frequent posting keeps key senior executives and thought leaders out of the blogosphere
#6 Frequent posting drives poor content quality
#7 Frequent posting threatens the credibility of the blogosphere
#8 Frequent posting will push corporate bloggers into the hands of PR agencies
#9 Frequent posting creates the equivalent of a blogging landfill
#10 I love my family too much
This is sooooo true. And I have to admit that it is relieving to read this somewhere else and know that others are realizing the same thing. It is interesting to see blogging trends change over the last few years. Thus my posts will be less frequent, but hopefully the content will be that much stronger.

I have incorporated Nio’s Anti-Spam Image into my comment form and so I have have removed the comment moderation. Therefore, as long as you are a human with fingers, you can comment freely on any of my posts without my needing to approve your comment. This is great for all of us! I hope it works.
Oh, and while you’re at it, sign up for CoComment (I have integrated that as well) and track all of your comments from multiple blogs from one site or one feed. Enjoy!
Update:
I have set up this site to apply your Gravatar beside your User Name in the comment section. So, if you don’t have one yet, get one now. It works great at Inbreaking.com and numerous other sites.
